Online submission system guides the author stepwise through the process of entering the article and uploading it. All correspondence is sent by e-mail.

Manuscript Submission and Reviewing process

Online submission of the paper is made through the online peer-reviewing system at EKB. You must register first to obtain a username and password then log in on the system to submit your article. The Paper will be reviewed by 2 expert peer reviewers recommended by the editorial board. E-publish System will speed up the whole editing process. 

Manuscript style 

  1. A)   The review article must be sub-divided into the following sections with the following headings, each started on a separate sheet: 

Title page:

It should contain the following;

1) Authors' names and academic degree, 

2) Affiliation for each author (department, hospital, or academic institution), to which the work should be attributed, 

3) Blinded manuscript (no author details) such as the authors' names or affiliations.

Title

The title of the article, which should be concise (8-15 wards), but specific and informative, Titles do not normally include numbers, acronyms, abbreviations or punctuation.

Corresponding author: Full address of the corresponding author, clearly indicate who will handle correspondence at all stages of refereeing and publication, also post-publication. Ensure that phone numbers (with country and area code) are provided in addition to the e-mail address and the complete postal address.

Short title (the shortened title of the article, that will appear as a page heading in the journal at the top of the printed pages.  

Abstract & keywords:

All manuscript must have a brief abstract of maximum 200-250 words. The abstract should concisely give the main aspects and features under the following clearly labeled sections: Objective (or background and purpose), subject and methods (design, setting, sampling, and tools), results, and conclusions, recommendations. 

Keywords Immediately after the abstract, provide a maximum of 3-6 keywords, it derived from the research title. Be sparing with abbreviations and should be in alphabetical.

An abstract is often presented separately from the article, so it must be able to stand alone. 

B)    Original article must be subdivided into the following sections:

Text: This should be arranged in the following orders:

Introduction includes aim of the study and Significant of study, Research question / research hypothesis, subject and methods, Pilot study, Ethical consideration, statically analysis, important Results, Discussion, Conclusions & Recommendations and References. 

Introduction:

Should contain the background of the subject matter and explanation, why the research was carried out. State the purpose of the article. Give only strictly pertinent reference and do not include data or conclusions from the work being reported. 

Significant of study 

Aim of study. 

Research question/research hypothesis 

Subject and Methods:

In this section, all materials and methods must be clearly described 

  • Materials should include research design, setting where the study was conducted, subjects of the study and criteria for selection, and tools for data collection.
  • Method should include study procedure, and date and period of the study. 

Pilot study. 

Ethical consideration.

Before starting the study, ethical approval was obtained from the scientific research ethical committee which will be uploaded as a supplementary file

Statistical analysis.

Results:

The results or findings must be described clearly in this section and contains figures and Tables. Present your results in logical sequence in the text, tables, and illustrations. Do not repeat in the text all the data in the tables or illustrations. Emphasize or summarize only important observations. 

Discussion:

This section should present a comprehensive analysis of the results in the light of any previous research and emphasize the new and important aspects of the study. Should be well-arranged and concise and ended with conclusions.

It should include the following:

  1. Strengths and weakness of the study results in relation to other studies
  2. Authors points of view and interpretations of their results

Conclusions & Recommendations: A conclusion may review the main Points of the paper followed by recommendations  

Acknowledgments:

Acknowledgments of Financial support or technical assistance may follow the main body of the paper. The source of financial grants and other funding should be acknowledged, including a frank declaration of the authors' industrial links and affiliations. The contribution of colleagues or institutions should also be acknowledged. Thanks to anonymous reviewers are not allowed.

Text format

Please use the following rules for the entire text: 

  • Type or print out the manuscript on white A4 paper, with margins of at least 2.5 mm (1 inch).
  • Use Times New Roman size 12 with double spacing throughout the MS.
  • Type or print on only one side of the paper.
  • Please number the lines consecutively, beginning with the title page
  • Please do not include more than 6 tables and/or illustrations in the manuscript of a full-length research paper and not more than 2 tables and/or illustrations in a short communication.
  • Prepare your manuscripts using Word, preferably Word 97.
  • The text of the Manuscript sent to the Editors should be considered as final. The electronic version should be sent Via e-mail.  

Table’s format:

  • Table number in bold above the table.
  • Each table should be typed double-spaced on a separate sheet.
  • Tables should be numbered consecutively according to the order of their appearance in the text.
  • Clear, concise labels for column and row headings
  • The table number is to be followed by a brief informative descriptive title.
  • Footnotes and explanations are to be typed underneath the table.

Illustrations/ figure format:

  • The number of illustrations should be kept to a minimum required for clarification of the text.
  • Photographs, line drawings, and graphs should be of a high artistic and technical quality.
  • A manuscript can be rejected on the basis of the poor quality of illustrations.
  • Line drawings or graphs should be in India ink or very sharp high contrast prints on glossy paper.
  • Color photographs are accepted with extra charge. 
  • Brief title under the figure.
  • If necessary, clear labels and legends are integrated into the image.
  • Any relevant notes below the figure.

Manuscripts are subject to editorial modification to bring them into the style of this journal. Only papers that conform to the journal style are accepted for publication. Failure to submit manuscript in the journal style may lead to unnecessary delay in publication.

Article Charge: 

The publication fees of the original article are 1200 LE for Egyptian authors. If the manuscript is more than 20 page, every page by 20 L.E,.  No submission fees. The accepted papers will not appear as preprints on our Website (and in other databases), and they will not be sent to the printing office unless the publishing Fees are received.
